On Sunday, 18th July, we have decided to train EeRynn to sleep by herself.
She was crying for 1 hour the 1st & 2nd night. I was very sad too. My intention is good. To train her to be independant. She also wet her pants the first night & second night too. This is a sign that she's stress because of new habit. I am glad that my husband is very supportive.
By the 3rd night, we had an agreement that I sit outside her room door. The 3rd night she didn't cry at all and she slept on her own.
It's the 8th night now, she's sleeping on her own. I am very happy.
This sentence strengthen me : 'No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it' Herbrews 12:11. This sentence is from a book : Boundaries with Kids by Dr Henry Cloud & John Townsend.
Everytime I go through pain ( sad ) when I try to discipline EeRynn, I will read this sentence again. It'll strengthen my faith.
I am talking about helping a child cultivates good behaviour & good habits by setting a boundaries so a child can learn. Not forcing a child to follow our way ya.. Readers, please take note :>
